New Tattoo: A silver fern (still healing)
The fern is an iconic symbol of New Zealand. Ferns grow everywhere here, and the Maori people viewed ferns as significant. The Koru, or unbloomed fern, is a symbol of "new life" and "new beginnings." I thought this was perfect for me in my situation here.
